What data we collect

When you use Catalogd, we collect the following information:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you register.
  • Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card number, CVC, or billing address on our servers. Stripe may collect this data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Product data — product names, descriptions, prices, images, and any other catalog data you upload to the service.
  • Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the product.

How we use your data

  • To run the service — we use your product data to build and format your catalog, including generating AI-written descriptions, resizing images, and producing platform-ready export files.
  • AI description generation — your product data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate descriptions. This data is processed according to Anthropic's usage policies and is not used to train AI models.
  • Payment processing — we use Stripe to process payments. Your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe.
  • Communication — we may use your email to send transactional messages (receipts, account updates) and occasional product updates. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time.

We do not sell your data

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or product data to third parties. Your catalog data belongs to you.

Data retention

We retain your account and catalog data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information and product data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes).

Data security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
